Our own little christmas miracle

this one is in flagstaff. It all the sudden went from brown and red to white and green.

haha, this next picture was taken in SKY city :D funny huh?

Hey everyone! My family for christmas this year drove down to Arizona. And I got to tell you, it wasnt a pretty ride down. It was cold, kids wanting out of their seats, everyone one had to go pee at least 5 times each and some just decided to do it in their pants. Yeah. But there were some good parts too. My mom and dad finally bought that 15 seater van we've wanted for trips. We took the first row out and stuffed some suitcases in between the 2nd to last and last bench to make a sort of bed. Then my dad went out and bought 2 DVD players we could hook to the back of the seat that kept the kids busy for a while. Other then that, we played to alphabet game, the number game ( just seeing if you could find the number or letter on the side of the road), each about 5 times. But, I think the highlight of the trip happend when I was blissfully asleep in the back of the van. Here's how it starts. 10 minutes after we leave a reststop, Austin informs my mom that he has to pee. So my mom gruginly pulls off the highway and then misses the rest stop by accident. Instead, she pulls over and lets Austin do his thing cave man style. After Austin gets back into the car, my mom starts to get ready to drive away. My dad sits straight up, and is wide awake with the pounding thought to get out and check the trailer. I sort of remember that part, because my dad had to yell from the back of the van to be heard and woke me up doing so. He volunteerd to climb over everyone and check it himself. Then after fixing a few things that actually were wrong with the trailer, he gets back in. Then, finally, we get back on the road. Low and behold, we come upon a semi and a 180 turned van with 4 or 5 people standing around something in the middle of the road. As we are driving past, my mom sees something like a dummy in the middle of where these people are standing. Yep, that's right. There was a dead man on the highway, and it had just happened not 2 minutes before. We don't know for sure how it happened, there were skid marks and the guys shoe was 200 yards down the road. We don't know if he lived or what. But what I do know is that if we Austin hadn't hadnt the "urge" all the sudden, and dad wouldn't have checked the trailer, then it would've been us who were standing around the crime scene, having had some part in the incident. Maybe we would've tumbled and my aunts stuff we were hauling would've been thrown all over the place, along with those of us in the van( like me and dad ) who weren't buckled in. I'm so thankful that we were spared that experience and that even in the simplest of ways our Father in Heaven allows a small Christmas miracle to happen upon our family. I'm grateful we had a safe trip and that every day here on earth is another to better ourselves with. I hope everyone has a fantastic Christmas, and remembers the first and most unmatched gift ever given, Jesus Christ. Merry CHRIST mas! everyone :)
